All of the information on this page was contributed by two people and assisted by many. The two primary contributors for this information are Henry Tschoop of the Netherlands and Ruth Ornee Gritter of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Without Ralph's help, assistance and patience in providing me with the GEDCOM files and answering the numerous questions, this site would not be possible. Without Ruth's continuing support we wouldn't have the details contained in this site. If you would like to provide additional information or pictures to add to this site, please email Richard Bultman at CLICK HERE TO EMAIL (richard@scvweb.com) Our goal on this site is to provide as much information as possible including pictures as a means of perserving the history of the Ornee family in The Netherlands as well as in the United States. The earliest birth of an Ornee ancestor took place when Jan Claeszn van Schoten was born about 1400. The first mention in the records of the name Ornee was Pieter Ornee who was born about 1728 and at the young age of 34 passed away and was buried on 5 Aug 1762 in Middelburg. But that
is the tip of the story. Through marriage we can see that it
was David Corneliszn Ornee who marries Elizabeth Slager that
we obtain the ancestors from about 1400. Richard Bultman |
