1. We like to be a web voyeur looking at the sights and sometimes the sounds of the world. With luck, we'll have a list of webcams that actually work along with links to global utilities that you might find useful. We invite you to check back soon. 2. Next, we are working on the Impatient Man's Guide to Restaurants in the Santa Clarita valley. With our explosive growth, sometimes is difficult to find a decent restaurant that you can get into without a two hour wait. Should be fun and I'll give you my personal reactions to atmosphere and quality of food at our local diners from Canyon Country to Castaic. And we'll see if they are kid friendly. |

4/19/01 If you like British food like we do, then visit "British Allsorts". Its located behind the Jack In The Box on Lyons Avenue at Orchard Village. Phone 255 0706. They have a wide variety of British imports. Everything from hobnobs to biscuits to a really good selection of teas. Stop by. They are friendly and helpful. 10/22/2001 - Well, we finally found a Chinese restaurant that doesn't have the generic Chinese restaurant flavor. While the ambience is somewhat like other Chinese restaurants I've liked, the food will make your mouth water for more. No more suspense. Try the Mandarin 88. Its at 23360 Valencia Blvd at Cinema Drive. The menu is extensive, the portions rather large, the attention to detail... right on the money. Its not expensive, its open for lunch and during evening hours, they even deliver. Just opened 4 weeks ago and its sure not to be a secret for long. Phone 259 8988. |
